From surfing at Trestles to jogging along the beach trail, San Clemente is made for movement. But when injuries or health needs arise, Hoag Health Center San Clemente will be ready. The center will house a comprehensive sports medicine program focused on helping athletes of all levels recover and perform at their best. Non-operative treatments, injury prevention, ultrasound-guided procedures, and therapies for sports-specific injuries will all be part of the offering. In partnership with top athletic organizations—including USA Surfing and runDisney—Hoag’s sports medicine specialists will deliver care tailored to each patient’s goals. 

The center will also feature a new wellness space designed for individuals looking to optimize their health at any age. Services will include hydration and nutrition testing, mobility and strength assessments, and VO2 max testing for those seeking to improve cardiovascular endurance. Through partnerships with Garmin and Hyperice, the wellness space will provide access to cutting-edge recovery tools and real-time health tracking. More than a testing site, the space will serve as a gateway to Hoag’s broader network of care, connecting patients with physical therapy, nutrition counseling, orthopedics, or sports medicine based on their individual needs. 

Primary care will be another cornerstone of the center. With four physicians dedicated to prevention, wellness exams, and chronic condition management, patients will benefit from same-day appointments, flexible scheduling, and seamless coordination within the Hoag network. 

Urgent care services will ensure residents can get timely attention for minor injuries and illnesses, seven days a week. Walk-in and virtual care options, onsite labs and X-rays, and family-friendly care will make it easy to access support when needed. 

Women’s health services will support patients through every life stage, from adolescence to menopause and beyond. OB-GYNs, midwives, and nurse practitioners will provide prenatal care, annual exams, contraception counseling, and specialized menopause support. Onsite mammograms, DEXA scans, and ultrasounds will round out the offerings, making comprehensive care convenient and accessible. 

The center will also feature expanded neuroscience services for patients managing Parkinson’s, movement disorders, or multiple sclerosis. The programs will integrate physical, occupational, and speech therapies; diagnostic tools; nurse navigation; nutritional support; and access to the latest treatment protocols. 

Orthopedic services will include hip and knee replacement, pediatric trauma surgery, sports injury repair, foot and ankle care, and advanced wrist procedures. Patients of all ages will be able to receive expert care locally.

The center’s spine and pain program will take a multidisciplinary approach to treating chronic pain and mobility issues. Surgical and non-surgical options, including interventional pain therapies and physical rehabilitation, will be available to help restore comfort and function. 

Radiology services will feature 3D mammography, MRI (including cardiac MRI), CT scans, DEXA, ultrasound, and walk-in X-rays. Hoag’s partnership with Newport Harbor Radiology Associates will ensure subspecialized reads and accurate, timely results. 

Hoag Compass, a membership-based health optimization program, will also be available at the center. Members will receive DNA testing, expanded diagnostics, coaching, and wellness support—all aimed at prevention and long-term health. Care coordination, messaging with providers, and access to wellness perks will make the program a comprehensive resource.
