Discover how community partnerships are expanding access to specialty care for underserved families, strengthening mental health and housing support services, and creating healthier futures across Orange County in the spring 2026 issue of The Golden Rule.
The spring 2026 issue of Hoag’s Golden Rule is now available, highlighting the impactful work of the Melinda Hoag Smith Center for Healthy Living and the partners helping expand access to care and support healthier families across Orange County. Earlier this year, the center was honored as the 2026 Community Champion of the Year by the American Academy of Pediatrics–Orange County in recognition of its commitment to advancing the health and well-being of children and families.
Philanthropy is what powers Hoag’s ability to expand access for underserved individuals and families, strengthen prevention-focused programs, and deliver integrated care across the region. In 2025 alone, philanthropic support helped make possible 4,716 hours of one-on-one therapy for 549 clients, 4,124 case management appointments, 867 nurse navigation sessions, 13,144 wellness and integrated health class participations, and 827 workforce development and professional training completions—each one representing a direct investment in healthier lives and stronger communities.
