Nursing Achievements at Hoag
Hoag’s annual Nurse’s Day celebration in May 2015 was made even sweeter by Hoag’s third Magnet® recognition earlier this year. Conferred as part of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet® Recognition Program, it’s the highest honor an organization can receive for professional nursing practice.
Thanks to our donors and volunteer committee members, Hoag raised more than $2 million for nurses in fiscal year 2015, supporting nursing excellence and allowing Hoag to grant 431 nursing scholarships. In 2016, the fundraising target for nursing is $2.7 million to provide over 400 scholarships for nurses currently enrolled in BSN, MSN, MSN-Nurse Practitioner or higher programs.
