2.  Dr. Vladana Milisavljevic Named Al & Mary Ann Schoellerman Endowed Chair in Neonatology

As chief of neonatal services and medical director of Hoag’s 21-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), Dr. Milisavljevic plans to advance cutting-edge medical care and mental health support for families with infants in the NICU. Endowed chairs, a rarity at community hospitals, provide sustainable sources of funding for physicians to champion innovations in their field and propel research, program development, recruitment and more.

 

3.  State-of-the-Art Renovations Promise a Differentiated Digestive Health Experience

When complete later this year, the Digestive Health Center at 500 Superior Avenue in Newport Beach will boast new, high-tech exam rooms, collaborative workstations for physicians and staff, a spa-like aesthetic and a premium health bar to support patients’ treatment plans and overall wellness.

 

4.  New Hoag Melanoma Program Led by World-Class Recruits

Dr. Thomas Wang, a surgical oncologist recruited from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and dermatologic oncologist Dr. Steven Wang, recruited from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, are leveraging state-of-the-art technology to partner with community dermatologists and provide advanced, streamlined care for high-risk patients. 5.  The Fudge Family Acute Rehabilitation Center Expands With Six Additional Beds

Established in 2018 thanks to the generosity of Gary Fudge, the Rehabilitation Center recently celebrated 2,000 patients served. The Rehabilitation Center continues to exceed national averages on important patient outcome metrics. To meet the growing needs of our community, an additional six beds were added in September and enhancements will be finished early next year.
