Funds from endowed chairs empower leaders to drive program development, conduct groundbreaking research, implement new strategies and engage in other activities that enhance patient care and the Institute overall.

Endowed chairs are available in the following areas:

·        Pancreatic-Biliary Gallbladder

·        Advanced Endoscopy

·        Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Digestive Health Nurse Navigator

Hoag’s comprehensive program includes dedicated nurse navigators who assist patients through every aspect of a complicated diagnosis. In addition to helping patients and their families understand the diagnosis and treatment options, nurse navigators coordinate physician visits, address dietary and other concerns, help patients navigate the health care system and connect them to resources for social support.

Digestive Health Registered Dietitian

Hoag Digestive Health Institute’s dietitians work with patients to achieve and maintain optimum health. This includes providing a tailored nutrition intervention plan that incorporates the patient’s clinical data, nutritional intake, socioeconomics and lifestyle to ensure a feasible and nutritionally adequate plan to manage GI symptoms and optimize quality of life.
