The Vision
Expanding and renovating the Emergency Department is a component of the larger Renaissance Hoag campaign, a 10-year plan to transform Hoag from one of the finest community hospitals in the country to a world class medical center. Private support is needed to complete this project.
The Hoag Hospital Foundation is seeking leadership gifts from donor partners who understand the importance of enhancing Hoag’s ability to provide emergency care. These visionary donors will contribute to a vital community asset for thousands of people each year and help Hoag build one of the most advance, patient-centered emergency departments in Southern California.
This project will have an immediate and lasting impact on emergency care. Once completed, patients will benefit in a variety of ways:
- Reduced wait time with an 80% increase in the number of beds
- A modern Emergency Department with greater flexibility and efficiency
- Increased patient comfort and privacy
- Expanded imaging and radiology next to the ED providing immediate access to vital screening and diagnostic equipment such as MRIs, CT scanners and ultrasound
These improvements will fully modernize the ED and help Hoag provide the best patient experience in an emergency care situation.
