Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is perceived, regionally and nationally, as an excellent hospital serving a world-class community. Our service quality and clinical success are substantiated by those who know us best -- our patients. Maintaining this reputation is an obligation of great proportion. Fortunately, Hoag is poised to use the same intensity and vigor that helped us reach our current position to address the future.
The Hoag Hospital Board of Directors has developed Renaissance Hoag, a 10-year plan to dramatically expand the quality, breadth and depth of healthcare available in Orange County and beyond. This plan combines facility development, technology advancement, and program innovation into a single, intense focus on the patient experience. This will include the expansion of five "Centers of Excellence."

Our ongoing Renaissance was dramatically demonstrated by the completion of the Women's Pavilion in 2005. This spectacular addition to Hoag's campus provided much needed new facilities and set a new architectural standard for all hospitals in Southern California. In addition, it introduced a coordinated approach to care that will be our model for the future.
The Hoag Hospital Board of Directors has defined goals in the following key operational and strategic areas:
- Become a regional referral hospital serving patients seeking the best healthcare in the world.
- Among the five best hospitals in Southern California for clinical quality and outcomes.
- Recognized as the Southern California leader in one or more clinical specialties.
- In the top 10% of hospitals nationally in patient satisfaction.
Specific plans are being developed in our five Centers of Excellence and throughout the hospital. Philanthropy through Renaissance Hoag will enable us to implement these programs and continue to transform Hoag Hospital into the extraordinary medical enterprise our patients expect.
