Hoag is recognized for Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology

The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Center of Excellence recently awarded Hoag’s Minimally Invasive Gynecology a Center of Excellence designation. Hoag is one of just a small number of hospitals across the country to receive this prestigious designation.

“Earning the center of excellence designation signifies our ability to consistently deliver the safest, highest-quality care to minimally invasive gynecologic surgery patients,” said John V. Brown, M.D., head of Hoag’s Gynecologic Robotic Surgery Program.

The application process, which lasted a year and a half in its entirety, required information on all aspects of Hoag’s minimally invasive gynecology program and processes, including data on its surgical outcomes. The application, site inspection and evaluation process is rigorous to ensure that the safest, highest quality of care is delivered to minimally invasive gynecologic surgery patients worldwide.

This designation further enhances Hoag’s highly acclaimed GYN Robotic Surgery program.  Hoag is the highest volume provider of gynecologic robotic surgery in Southern California, has the first multi-disciplinary program in Southern California and the only integrated, multi-specialty GYN team in California.  The GYN team of board-certified surgeons includes gynecologists, gynecologic oncologists, reproductive endocrinologists and urogynecologists. The expertise and diversity of the team is one of the many reasons women trust Hoag for their gynecologic care.
