Big Ideas

The Hoag Promise Campaign will invest in advances in technology and new approaches to care to provide the best outcomes to our patients.

  • Innovation in Care Pilot programs - The Hoag Innovation Council is made up of leading physicians, nurses and administrators who are committed to launching innovation at Hoag. Philanthropy will fund pilot projects throughout the organization.
  • Advanced Surgical Center –The Advanced Surgical Center at Hoag will offer 10 state-of-the-art surgical rooms which will also be designed to grow with future advances in healthcare. The advantage to having more surgical rooms available means Hoag patients may enjoy more convenient scheduling and less wait time before their procedure and access to the most advanced technology available.
  • TeleHealth pilot - With the implementation of Telehealth services at Hoag, patients can interact quickly with the best medical professionals and specialists, regardless of their location. By connecting patients, physicians and other care providers through a secure two-way HD video conference system, Hoag delivers faster, more comprehensive healthcare services to our patients.

Empowering You

The Hoag Promise Campaign priorities empower patients with the right resources, tools and information, at the right time.

  • Acute Rehabilitation Center – Patients who suffer a stroke or other serious, acute diagnosis, often need expert care after their condition is stabilized. By offering Hoag-level care even after the acute phase of treatment, we can ensure that patients receive a consistently high level of care until they are fully ready to return home
  • Patient Advocacy and Navigation - As healthcare becomes even more comprehensive, nurse navigators guide patients through every step of the continuum of care, from diagnosis through treatment, recovery and beyond.

  • Endowed Chairs in:
    • Critical Care - When an illness or injury brings a patient into the Intensive Care Unit, every decision matters. The Endowed Chair in Critical Care will be tasked with the goal of maintaining Hoag's standard of care.
  • Clinical Leader Awards – These awards will allow lab technicians and pathologist to receive advanced training and education to ensure the pathways of care are maximized. These funds will allow our clinical leaders to expand their expertise and stay at the forefront of new technologies and procedures for the benefit of our patients.
