Christmas Carol Ball

The Annual Christmas Carol Ball, Hoag's hallmark event that opens the holiday season each year in early December, has benefited various programs at Hoag Hospital since 1966. Hosted by the 552 Club and the Christmas Carol Ball Committee, an evening of holiday splendor and merriment await hospital supporters at the elegant event each year. During the past 41 years, the Christmas Carol Ball has helped raise more than $7 million for Hoag Hospital.

Thank you for your support of this year's Christmas Carol Ball held December 5, 2009 at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. We hope you enjoyed this festive evening of fun, food, and friends. Your generous support was essential to our success!

For more than 40 years, Hoag Hospital supporters have gathered to celebrate the holiday season at the Christmas Carol Ball, and this year was no exception. The black-tie engagement hosted by the 552 Club and the Hoag Hospital Foundation raised more than $600,000 for Hoag Neurosciences Institute.

The evening’s festivities, held at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, included a silent and live auction, $100,000 in jewelry by presenting sponsor Newport Jewelers and a one-year lease on a convertible Z4 from Sterling BMW. Christmas Carol Ball co-chairs Vahe and Lisa Karamardian, M.D. and Scott and Pam Shean greeted guests as they arrived at the Ritz for a magical evening.

The honorary chairs for the event were Ron and Sandi Simon; major underwriters for this year's event include: Edward Fedishon, Margaret and Tom Larkin, Fariborz Maseeh, Maralou and Jerry Harrington and Patti and Jim Edwards.

The live orchestra serenaded the honored guests as they arrived at the world-famous Ritz-Carlton for the 42nd Annual Christmas Carol Ball. Champagne and fine wines were flowing as guests were treated to a multi-course gourmet meal while enjoying the sumptuous atmosphere and festive art deco décor. The live auction and raffle lent an air of excitement and anticipation to the magical evening.

 

Party goers vied to out-bid each other for a one-year lease on a BMW 335i, a 2009 Master’s Package in

Atlanta, Georgia and a Las Vegas Dream Trip featuring the Penthouse Suite at the fabulous Palms. The Grand Prize Raffle winner walked away with a 2009 Honda Scooter.

 

After a moving and entertaining program, there was plenty of time for mingling and dancing into the night to the rhythms of the Swing Dolls and Art Deco Band. Special party favors from Kiehls and Brooks Brothers adorned the tables of the delighted revelers. The event raised $400,000 for Hoag Hospital.

The 41st annual Christmas Carol Ball, held at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, was an elegant, holiday-inspired evening included exciting auction items, music, food and dancing. Guest enjoyed this traditional holiday event benefiting Hoag Hospital.

The 40th Annual Christmas Carol Ball, held at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel, proved to be a great success. In addition to festive music, food and dancing, guests were treated to a video presentation highlighting the Renaissance Hoag campaign, which outlined the Foundation's 10-year vision for the hospital and, specifically, the Hoag Neurosciences Institute.
