Nursing Education and Scholarships
sing education is a top priority for Choose Nursing, Choose Hoag and a key component to attracting and retaining the best nurses for our patients. Choose Nursing, Choose Hoag financial support for nurses while they complete their education will be an incentive for them to join the Hoag Hospital family. We will focus on nurses seeking the highest level of training, especially those completing their BSN and MSN degrees.
Tuition for nursing school continues to rise. Currently tuition and books cost approximately $5,000 per year. Our goal is to provide full or partial scholarships to these students to offset the costs of their education. Donors have a wonderful opportunity to support this effort through Choose Nursing, Choose Hoag.
Nursing Endowments - $25,000 and Above
- Nursing Director $250,000 and above
- Full Nursing Scholarship Endowment $100,000
- Nursing Award Endowment $25,000
Scholarships - $5,000 per year
- Named Scholarship (five-year commitment) $5,000 per year for five years
- Annual Scholarship $5,000
Awards - $500 to $5,000
- Named Award (five-year commitment) $2,500 minimum/year for five years
- Annual Awards $500 and above annually
