Hoag Heart and Vascular Institute (HHVI) is the highest-rated and largest-volume cardiovascular center in Orange County and has gained a national reputation for excellence in clinical outcomes. Our formula for success is patient-focused care delivered by more than 50 cardiovascular specialists. Hoag combines leading edge technology with a strong team of Stanford-trained cardiac surgeons who practice exclusively at Hoag and a world-class nursing and support staff to deliver the highest level of care. The overall objective is to be in the top 10% in the country in all measurable cardiac clinical categories.

To achieve our goals, new "centers" will be developed within the Hoag Heart and Vascular Institute. As these centers develop, Hoag will need both a new generation of medical leadership in these specialties and a global upgrade and replacement strategy for the most advanced equipment for cardiac care. The capstone will be the new Critical Care Tower scheduled for construction from 2008 to 2012. This facility will be the permanent home of the Institute.
