Giving Opportunities
Every gift to the Center will bring us closer to improved health for our community. Listed below are just some of the initiatives you can support with a gift to the Allen Center at Hoag Hospital. For information about gifts and pledges to the Center, including donor recognition opportunities, please contact Kenya Beckmann, Campaign Director, 949-764-6384 or Kenya.Beckmann@HoagHospital.org.
Allen Center “Making a Difference” Endowment
Gifts to the Center’s general endowment ensure the long-term sustainability of the Center and its mission to serve all those in need of care regardless of ability to pay.
Pediatric and Young Adult Endocrinology Fund
Increased endocrinology services designed specifically to address the needs of children and young adults as they transition from pediatric to adult care
Diabetes and Women’s Health Fund
Diabetes can have particularly tragic consequences for women, including gestational diabetes and increased risk of cardiovascular death. The Allen Center will partner with Hoag Women’s Health Services and Hoag Heart and Vascular Institute to dramatically improve the lives of women with diabetes.
Diabetes Eye Health and Education Fund
Diabetic retinopathy affects nearly 80% of everyone who has diabetes for 15 years or more. And though as much as 90% of diabetes-related vision loss could be prevented, less than half of those needing regular vision screenings receive them. The Allen Center will have a dedicated ophthalmology service and education program to combat these trends.
Outreach and Preventative Program Fund
Diabetes is the world’s fastest growing chronic disease. To combat this trend the Allen Center will provide prevention, education, and outreach efforts that reflect the diverse linguistic, demographic, and socioeconomic needs of our community.
THE STAKES HAVE NEVER BEEN HIGHER, NOR THE NEED MORE URGENT. CONTACT US TO FIND OUT HOW YOU CAN JOIN US IN LEADING A NEW FRONT AGAINST DIABETES, THE WORLD’S FAST GROWING CHRONIC DISEASE.
